Woman allegedly stabbed to death by female friend in Gochas

REHOBOTH, 28 JAN (NAMPA) – A 27-year-old woman died after she was allegedly stabbed by her 27-year-old female friend on Friday in Gochas in the Hardap Region.
Namibian Police Force crime investigations coordinator for the Hardap Region, Deputy Commissioner Eric Clay told Nampa on Sunday that the incident happened at Hei-eib residential area in the village at about 20h00.
“It is alleged that the suspect stabbed her friend on the left side of the neck and the victim died on the scene instantly,” Clay said.
Both women were reportedly intoxicated and were arguing, but at this stage it is not known to the police what led to the argument.
The deceased was identified as Johanna Fredericks and her next of kin have been informed of her death.
The suspect was arrested and police investigations into the matter continue.
