OTJIWARONGO, 11 JAN (NAMPA) - A man in his early 40s who went missing at Rooidag Gate in the Tsumkwe Constituency in December, has still not been found.
Originally from the Uukwiyu Uushona Constituency in the Oshana Region, Johannes Kadhiya had gone to Rooidag to purchase cattle.
The Namibian Police Force’s Crime Investigations Coordinator for the Otjozondjupa Region, Deputy Commissioner Naukalemo Andreas told Nampa on Thursday a search for the missing man is still in force.
He explained that on the night of 09 December, Kadhiya and two other men were seated in a truck they used to transport the cattle.
“He then reportedly opened the truck’s door, jumped out and entered the bushes. He did not return to his colleagues and tracking his footprints the next day did not help as nothing has been found since then,” Andreas said.
Kadhiya was last seen dressed in a blue overall, black jersey and black cap.
He is 1.7 metres tall, slim, dark in complexion and has a gap between his lower teeth.
The deputy commissioner called on any person with information on his whereabouts to contact the nearest police station.
