15-year-old boy hit by vehicle at Okahandja

OTJIWARONGO, 08 JAN (NAMPA) - A 15-year-old boy died after he was bumped by a vehicle at Okahandja on Tuesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Patrick Kazehepa from Okahandja and his next of kin have been informed of his death.
In an interview with Nampa on Tuesday, Namibian Police Force’s Otjozondjupa Regional Crime Investigations Co-ordinator, Deputy Commissioner Naukalemo Andreas said the deceased was found with his Grade 9 report card in his pocket.
“He was in 2018 a learner of the Okahandja Senior Secondary School,” Andreas said.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as a 67-year-old female and the incident happened approximately three kilometres south of Okahandja on the Gross Barmen road.
A culpable homicide docket has been opened at the Okahandja Police Station and police investigations into the matter continue.
