Stampriet sodomy case postponed to February

REHOBOTH, 08 JAN (NAMPA) – A man arrested after he allegedly raped an 11-year-old boy at Stampriet in the Hardap Region on Friday, made his second appearance in the Aranos Magistrate’s Court Monday.
The 28-year-old Elrico Howeka appeared before Magistrate Yvonne McLeod on a charge of rape and his case was postponed to 06 February for legal aid application.
It is alleged that Howeka sodomised the boy at a house in Soetdoringlaagte late on 26 October 2018.
The suspect was denied bail and remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
Public prosecutor Waomba Murangi represented the State in the matter.
