Pensioner raped at Henties Bay

WINDHOEK, 03 JAN (NAMPA) – A 72-year-old woman was allegedly raped by an unknown man at Henties Bay on Sunday.
The incident occurred around 05h00, a crime report issued by the Namibian Police Force on Wednesday said.
The man reportedly asked the pensioner for water before hitting and raping her.
The suspect is still at large and the police investigation continues.
At Usakos, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped and impregnated by a known 21-year-old man between March and December 2018.
It is further alleged that on Sunday between 18h00 and 20h00, the same suspect slapped the victim twice and threatened to kill her.
The suspect has not been arrested yet and police investigations continue.
The police in the Erongo Region on Friday arrested a 28-year-old man who allegedly raped a 21-year-old woman in her room.
The incident occurred around 23h00 at a house in Mondesa, Swakopmund.
The two stay in the same house but are not related.
The suspect appeared in the Swakopmund Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
The crime report further indicated that a 31-year-old was allegedly raped by a 38-year-old man at Ongwediva on Wednesday.
It is alleged that the victim, suspect and friends had gone from Ongwediva to an event at Elim village and to other parties at Okalongo in the Omusati Region.
When they returned to Ongwediva, they were allegedly inebriated and slept in the same house. When the victim woke up, the suspect was busy having sexual intercourse with her.
No arrest was made and the police investigation continues.
