Three-month-old baby girl found dead at home

WINDHOEK, 29 DEC (NAMPA) - A three-month-old baby girl was found dead in the Wanaheda residential area in Windhoek on Friday
According to a Windhoek City Police crime report issued on Saturday, the incident occurred at around 18h36 and the infant was declared dead by emergency services who arrived at the scene.
In an unrelated matter, two unknown suspects also allegedly broke into a shack in the Khomasdal residential area and stole construction equipment.
The suspects opened the door of the shack between 21h00 to 22h00 and tied up the guard before stealing a toolbox containing the equipment.
In a separate case in the Goreangab residential area, a man allegedly attempted to commit suicide on Friday after he lost his friend's mobile phone.
According to the crime report, the man attempted to take his life by hanging and said that he would have rather died than go to jail.
However, the matter was allegedly resolved resolved amicably by the two parties.
City Police spokesperson, Fabian Amukwelele urged members of the public experiencing issues to seek help.
'Make use of entities and bodies that can assist, which deal with these kind of incidents,' said Amukwelele.
