OTJIWARONGO, 26 DEC (NAMPA) – Two baby girls and a boy were born on Christmas Day at the Otjiwarongo State Hospital’s maternity ward.
“We first attended to a 24-year-old woman and we assisted her to deliver her baby girl at 05h30 on Tuesday,” said the hospital’s maternity ward supervisor, Alma Paulus.
Paulus told Nampa on Wednesday that the hospital later helped to bring into the world another baby girl at about 08h00, followed by the baby boy at 13h00.
All three babies were born naturally and are healthy weighing about 3.65 kilogrammes (kg), 2.87 kg and 3.33 kg for the boy, Paulus said.
Speaking on behalf of the mothers, the 24-year-old Kasiku Siteketa said it feels good for a mother to deliver a baby on the day generally believed to be the day Jesus Christ was born.
