Otjiwarongo police roadblock receive refreshments from NBL

OTJIWARONGO, 18 DEC (NAMPA) – Members of the Namibian Police Force at the Otjiwarongo roadblock on Tuesday received 105 cases of soft drinks and water from Namibia Breweries Limited.
Sales representative of Namibia Breweries Limited, Richard Kenamaui handed over the drinks to Head of Operations in the Otjozondjupa Region, Deputy Commissioner Moses Khairabeb.
“We donated the drinks to the police at the roadblock to say thank you for the work they are doing for the nation,” said Kenamaui.
The drinks are worth more than N.dollars 16 300.
Khairabeb thanked the company for the donation and urged other stakeholders to join hands with the police in the fight against all types of criminal activities in the region.
“The drinks are strictly meant for the police officers operating at the roadblock. We have divided them into shifts and each group will have access to the drinks while on duty. We thank you Namibia Breweries,” Khairabeb said.
The police officer urged motorists to adhere at all times to the traffic rules and regulations when travelling on any public road.
He also cautioned drivers to watch out for wild animals and stray livestock on the roads.
The police permanent roadblock is situated about four kilometres north of Otjiwarongo on the Otavi B1 road.
