Four girls drown in river at Aussenkehr

WINDHOEK, 17 DEC (NAMPA) – Four teenage girls aged 13; 15; 16; and 17, are reported to have drowned in a river at Aussenkehr in the //Kharas Region on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Namibian Police crime report issued on Monday, the girls went swimming with one of the deceased’s father.
The report said their bodies have not yet been retrieved while police investigations into the matter continue.
Meanwhile, the police said Roelof Swart, 45, died while seated at a service station in Okahandja on Sunday around 15h00.
The same day in Otjiwarongo, at about 13h20, a 30-year-old woman, identified as Elizabeth Haihambo, allegedly collapsed and died in church.
Post-mortems will be carried out in the two matters to determine the exact causes of death.
In a separate incident, Ndapewoshali Daniel died at the Engela State Hospital on Friday at midnight. It is alleged that she arrived at the hospital where an injection was allegedly administered by a doctor, however, her condition worsened after the injection. Police investigation in the matter continues.
The body of Imwata Isak Nangolo was found hanging in a corrugated iron shack on Friday around 18h00 at Onandjandja village, in the Onesi Constituency in the Omusati Region. No suicide note was found.
Similarly, in the Okalongo Constituency in Omusati at Onandjamba village, the body of Monika Ndahaka Ndeinoma, 46, was found hanging from a rope in her room Saturday morning at about 06h00.
According to the report, the deceased was last seen by her housemate on Friday at about 20h00. No suicide note was found and police investigation continues.
