OTJIWARONGO, 15 DEC (NAMPA) - The two other victims of a head-on collision on the road between Okahandja and Karibib on Thursday night have been identified.

Spokesperson of the Namibian Police Force in the Otjozondjupa Region, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha on Saturday told Nampa upon enquiry that the deceased men in a Suzuki vehicle that collided with a Mercedes Benz are Jonas Nghidamwakusha Nghininghishiwa, 29, and his passenger Robert Shileka, 24.

The occupants in the Mercedes Benz were earlier identified as the 66-year-old Gottlieb Keib, who was the driver, and his wife Elizabeth Keis.

Mbeha said the accident occurred at around 21h00, approximately 25 kilometres outside Okahandja on Thursday night.

She said preliminary police investigations indicate that the Mercedes Benz, which was driving towards Karibib, hit an Oryx in the road before swerving and colliding with the Suzuki sedan.

“Each vehicle had two occupants and they all died on the spot,” she said.

Police investigations continue.
