Tseiblaagte Sports Club tournament this weekend

KEETMANSHOOP, 06 DEC (NAMPA) - Keetmanshoop will host the first annual Tseiblaagte Sports Club floating trophy tournament this weekend.
The tournament will take place at the J Stephanus Stadium from Friday to Monday and will see teams from the Namibia Football Association’s first and second division and non-league teams taking part.
One of the organisers of the tournament, Emrico Blaauw told Nampa on Wednesday so far, 20 teams from the //Kharas Region have registered.
The draw will take place at the J Stephanus Stadium at 19h00 on Friday.
He said the tournament is aimed at keeping the players busy over the long weekend and will be the last tournament for the year at the southern town.
“We are also hosting the tournament to keep the players active because of the inactivity of the first and second division,” Blaauw said.
The grand prize is N.dollars 51 000 sponsored by Angula Shipanga, owner of the Tseiblaagte Sports Club.
The winner will receive N.dollars 25 000 in cash, a floating trophy and 20 gold medals.
The runners-up will walk away with N.dollars 15 000 and 20 silver medals, while the semi-final losers will receive N.dollars 5000 each.
