OTJIWARONGO, 30 NOV (NAMPA) - Newly elected committee members for the Otjiwarongo branch of the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) were on Friday morning unveiled to the general public.
The elections took place on 22 November 2018 during the branch’s annual general meeting.
Eddy Kgobetsi retained his position as chairperson of the branch, with Charlie Matengu as his deputy.
Johannes Daniel was elected as committee treasurer, while Beatrice Goliath was elected as the new branch secretary.
Henok Nghiilwamo, Othilie Kariko and Kate Mbaimbai were also elected to serve on the committee as additional members.
All seven members will serve the branch for the next two years.
The primary task of the branch, founded in 2003, is largely to create regular platforms where its members would come together and share new business ideas and exchange views.
The committee also acts as the mouthpiece for the town’s business community.
