Missing woman found dead in Tsintsabis

ONGWEDIVA, 22 NOV (NAMPA) – The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) on Thursday confirmed that a woman who was reported missing in the Ohangwena Region on Sunday, has been found dead in Tsintsabis in the Oshikoto Region.
NamPol’s Oshikoto Regional Commander, Commissioner Armas Shivute, in a telephonic interview with Nampa, said police officers found her lifeless body in a field in the Tsintsabis area shortly before midday Thursday.
Shivute could not give more details, only saying investigations are ongoing.
He said the woman reportedly left home on Sunday morning with her own vehicle, which was later found parked at the Ongha informal settlement in the Ohangwena Region.
The deceased was a resident of Iilagati village near Ongha and was a teacher at the nearby Mwadinomho Combined School.
Shivute could not confirm whether or not the deceased’s next of kin had been informed of her death.
