Turimuro Hoveka to be installed officially as chief

WINDHOEK, 15 NOV (NAMPA) – Chief Turimuro Hoveka of the Hoveka Royal House will later this month be officially installed in that capacity, following his gazetting as chief by Government.
A statement from the Hoveka Royal House on the matter on Thursday said Hoveka will be officially inaugurated on 24 November 2018.
The ceremony, which is in line with Section 5 (7) of the Traditional Authority Act, will take place at Katumba Gate in the Epukiro Constituency of the Omaheke Region.
Hoveka, according to the media statement, will reign over the Eiseb Block communal area - also in the Epukiro Constituency.
He was officially recognised by Government in that capacity through the Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Peya Mushelenga, on 22 October 2018.
