Woman raped at Mupapama village

RUNDU, 12 NOV (NAMPA) - A 39-year-old woman was allegedly raped by two men at Mupapama village in the Kavango East Region last week Thursday.
The Namibian Police Force’s Crime Investigations Coordinator for the region, Deputy Commissioner Bonifatius Kanyetu told Nampa on Monday the suspects pretended to escort the complainant home from a bar where they had been in each other’s company.
“While on their way, the two men allegedly pulled her from the road into nearby bushes and had sexual intercourse with her, one after the other, without her consent,” Kanyetu said,
The suspects, who are both residents of Mupapama, were arrested the following day.
Police investigations continue.
