Welwitschias announce starting 15 against Russia

REHOBOTH, 09 NOV (NAMPA) – Namibia’s national rugby team will play their first match against Russia on Saturday as part of the three matches scheduled for their European tour.
The team landed in Russia on Sunday and will also go up against Portugal and Spain.
Saturday’s game will be played at the Kuban Rugby Club Stadium in Krasnodar, Russia.
Namibia will then play Spain on 17 November, while the final match against Portugal will take place on 24 November.
In a statement availed to Nampa on Thursday, assistant coach JP Nel said the team had a good week in Russia, with players working hard. He said the team spirit is high.
“The coaches do not know a lot about the Russian team and thus have been focusing on their own game and how to control it during the weekend,” the statement further said.
The starting 15 as selected by head coach Phil Davies are Casper Viviers, Obert Nortje, AJ de Klerk, Ruan Ludick, Adrian Ludick, Thomasau Forbes, Max Katjijeko, Renaldo Bothma, Damian Stevens, Cliven Loubser, Jandre de Toit, Darryl de la Harpe (captain), JC Greyling, Johan Tromp and Chrysander Botha.
Substitutes for the match are Niel van Vuuren, Desiderius Sethie, Andre Rademeyer, Rohan Kitshoff (vice-captain), Prince Gaoseb, TC Kisting, PW Steenkamp and Justin Newman.
