Woman stabbed to death at Keetmanshoop

KEETMANSHOOP, 04 NOV (NAMPA) – A 28-year-old woman died after she was stabbed on Saturday in Keetmanshoop.
Namibian Police Force //Kharas Crime Investigations Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Chrispin Mubebo told Nampa on Sunday that the deceased was identified as Angeline Rooi.
“It is alleged that the suspect stabbed Rooi with a sharp object on the neck and she died upon arrival at the Keetmanshoop State Hospital. It is not known at this stage what caused the stabbing,” Mubebo said.
He said the incident occurred at about 23h30 at the Tseiblaagte residential area.
Police at Aroab in the //Kharas Region meanwhile are searching for a man who allegedly slaughtered 15 sheep at a farm near the village on Friday.
Mubebo said the incident happened at an unknown time but at night at farm Gaitanas along the Warmfontein road.
“It is alleged that the suspect entered the complainant’s farm and slaughtered the sheep without the owner’s consent and managed to get away with the carcasses valued at N.dollars 15 000. No suspect has been arrested and there has been no recovery of the stolen items, whereas former employees are suspected,” Mubebo said.
Police investigations continue in both matters.
