WINDHOEK, 09 OCT (NAMPA) – President Hage Geingob expressed his condolences to Deputy Minister of Health and Social Services Juliet Kavetuna, on the loss of her father, Ferdinand Kavetuna.
Known as ‘Skelly’, Kavetuna was a former governor of Otjozondjupa and also a former councillor for the Otjiwarongo Constituency.
He died on 01 October aged 66 and was laid to rest on 06 October at Okozongominja, a farm in Otjozondjupa believed to be his ancestral area.
Geingob’s message, delivered in a media statement on Tuesday by State House Press Secretary Alfredo Hengari reads: “Bro Skelly, as he was affectionately known by his peers, has departed this world, and by so doing, left a void in the family and community which cannot be filled. However, we pray that you maintain your calm and resign yourself to the will of our Lord. Life and death is not in the hands of human beings.”
The Namibian leader wished the Kavetuna family strength to deal with the loss of their loved one during this period of bereavement.
