Man allegedly commits suicide next to Okavango River

RUNDU, 05 OCT (NAMPA) – The body of an unknown man was found hanging from a tree next to the Okavango River Thursday afternoon.
The Namibian Police Force’s crime investigations coordinator for the Kavango East Region, Deputy Commissioner Bonifasius Kanyetu told Nampa on Friday it appeared the Caucasian man had used his shoelaces to hang himself.
“The deceased did not leave a suicide note behind and his body was taken to the Rundu State Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem,” Kanyetu said.
Investigations to identify the deceased continue as no form of identification was found on him.
