WINDHOEK, 01 OCT (NAMPA) – The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) has warned the public about road congestion on Monday due to a peaceful demonstration organised by traditional authorities, political formations and non-governmental organisations who have withdrawn from the second National Land Conference (NLC).
In a media statement issued by NamPol on Sunday, participants in the demonstration are expected to march from Angola House in Ausspannplatz to Safari Court Hotel, where the NLC is scheduled to begin.
The congestion is expected on the roads particularly in Rehobother Street, Mandume Ndemufayo Avenue and Auas Road.
“All motorists and other road user are advised to use alternative routes and avoid the roads [where] the march is taking place,” it said.
