Man found naked and burned behind Gammams riverbed

WINDHOEK, 24 SEP (NAMPA) – A man died upon arrival at the Katutura Intermediate Hospital after he was found burned and naked in the Gammams riverbed behind Single Quarters in the capital on Sunday afternoon.
The weekly crime report issued by the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) on Monday said the gravely injured man was discovered by a passer-by who alerted the police.
The deceased, whose next of kin have been informed, was identified as Jaco Hendricks (age not provided).
No arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident.
NamPol thus requested anyone with information to contact Deputy Commissioner Abner Agas.
In another incident, Isack Gariseb was stabbed with a knife in the neck after an argument over money for alcohol in Karasburg in the //Kharas Region on Thursday at around 19h20.
Gariseb died in the ambulance on the way to the Karasburg State Hospital. His next of kin are informed.
The police were informed that Gariseb and the 42-year-old suspect, who has been arrested, allegedly argued at a house at Plakkerskamp in the Westerkim residential area.
Meanwhile, an Angolan man identified as Tuayunda Mbwale died on the spot on Saturday after he was shot by the 73-year-old owner of Farm Senderling in the Kamanjab area, Kunene Region.
Mbwale allegedly killed an oryx on the farm and was trying to flee when he was shot with a rifle.
The farm owner told police he was doing a routine patrol when he found the now deceased man on his farm.
He was arrested and was expected to appear in court on Monday.
In a separate incident, 58-year-old Frolida Kombandayedu was discovered dead by relatives in her bedroom at the Oshityani Village in the Okaku Constituency of the Oshana Region on Friday at around 06h00.
The cause of death has not yet been established and a post-mortem will be conducted.
Nikodemus Fillemon, 29, died while being rushed to the Onandjokwe Lutheran Hospital after he fell in a residential area in the Iihwali location in the Ontananga area at Onayena, Oshikoto Region on Friday at about 20h30.
A post- mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
