Khomas, Oshana and Otjozondjupa set the pace

WINDHOEK, 01 SEP (NAMPA) – Defending champions Khomas Region continued to set pace in the ongoing at the Debmarine Namibia Senior Regional Netball Championships in Tamariskia, Swakopmund.

Having won their opening game 18-8 on Friday evening against Omaheke, Khomas' fine form continued on Saturday morning as they beat Ohangwena by 20-07 points in the fourth match of the morning.

They are being closely matched by Oshana, who have so far won two of their matches after they beat Kunene (20-07) and Oshikoto (15-06).

Otjozondjupa is not far off as they have also won their first two matches against Zambezi (19-05) and Oshikoto (19-10).

Oshikoto has lost three of their opening matches, followed by Zambezi and Hardap who both lost twice so far.

The second edition of the championship continues at Tamariskia Sportsground in Swakopmund.

The winners of the championships will walk away with N.dollars 30 000 and gold medals.

Runners-up will take home N.dollars 15 000 and silver medals, while third-place finishers get N.dollars 9 000 and bronze medals.
