KEETMANSHOOP, 19 AUG (NAMPA) – A 19-year-old man died in his sleep after a night out at a PK De Villiers matric farewell afterparty held in Keetmanshoop Friday night.
Namibian Police //Kharas crime investigations coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Chrispin Mubebo told Nampa on Sunday the deceased was identified as Ketu Inkono.
It is understood that the young man completed high school last year and attended the farewell party with friends.
It is alleged that he got home around 02h30 Saturday morning, went to his room and slept.
Mubebo said around 08h00, the mother of the deceased tried to wake him but did not get a response from her son.
“She took him to the hospital and he was declared dead upon arrival. The deceased did not suffer from any known sickness according to the family, therefore an autopsy is required to determine the cause of death,” Mubebo said.
Police investigations continue.
