REHOBOTH, 14 AUG (NAMPA) – Namibian international and Bidvest Wits player, Deon Hotto Kavendji, is raring to give his all in the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) and be counted among one of the greatest Namibian exports.
Speaking to Nampa via WhatsApp on Tuesday, Hotto as he is popularly known, said he is ready to take the scalp of another giant, Orlando Pirates, in a PSL match scheduled for Wednesday, after scoring in his team’s 3-1 win against Kaizer Chiefs last week Tuesday.
“I have set myself a target of at least 10 assists and ten goals, which I believe is achievable. I will not stop working hard to achieve my set goals for the season and end with a trophy,” Hotto said.
He further lauded the setup at his team as very professional.
“The facilities here are top and I am overwhelmed by how professional things are run here. Looking back from where I came and where I am currently now, I must say Wits stand out,” he said.
On the Pirates game, Hotto said he will go out there and enjoy himself.
“I prepare the same way for each game. I will go out and play my normal goal and hope I score another stunner,” said the 26-year-old Swakopmund native, who has already netted two goals and recorded two assists in this campaign.
Hotto signed a two-year contract with Bidvest Wits at the beginning of the 2018/2019 season.
