Two people die at the hands of their lovers

A 22-year-old woman from Okombahe is currently facing murder charges after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death during an argument.

The incident took place around 07h30 on Saturday. The police reported that the couple arrived at the suspect’s shack after a party and an argument soon ensued.

Although the police have not been able to determine what the argument was about, it reported that the deceased, a 23-year-old man, was stabbed once in the chest and twice in the back with a knife.

The deceased’s next of kin have been informed and the suspected is expected to appear in the Omaruru Magistrates Court today.

In a similar case, an Angolan national has been arrested for the murder of his girlfriend, 25-year-old Ndatilaowala Kundi, on Friday evening in Omusati region.

The police have reported that the incident took place in Onandjamba settlement, between Lucas Dama Primary School and Thomas Tuutaleni Combined School in the Okalongo Constituency.

It is alleged that the 23-year-old man stabbed the victim six times, in the chest, stomach, on both arms, breast, and in the neck with an Okapi knife before fleeing the scene.

The police caught up with him in Olupandu village, Okalongo constituency where he was arrested and charged with murder.

The motive behind the attack has not yet been determined, and he is expected to appear in court today.
