A foetus was found dumped in a river-bed between Eiland and O.D location in Katutura by two learners on their way back from exams this morning.
The learners aged 14 and 15 years old told The Villager that upon discovery, they alerted an adult who then called the Namibian Police to the scene.
“We saw the body and informed one ouma that was also passing to call the police. We were so shocked and could not just pass by and not do anything,” they said.
A police officer who refused to be named told The Villager that a case of concealment of birth will be opened, however no traces to the mother have been made yet.
