Kunene Second Division matches this weekend

REHOBOTH, 11 JUL (NAMPA) – Rounds 17 and 18 of the Kunene Second Division Football League will be held in Okaukuejo, Ombika, Opuwo, Kamanjab and Outjo this weekend, with six games remaining for most teams.
Vice-chairperson of the league, Bensley Hanaseb told Nampa on Tuesday the outstanding Round 13 match between PUBS and Robber Chanties was supposed to be played on 19 July, but PUBS asked for a postponement, which means the two teams have seven games remaining.
“The match was not played due to the absence of match officials and we wanted it to be played next week Thursday, but PUBS wrote and asked for a postponement,” Hanaseb said.
Round 17 will be played on Saturday with fifth-placed Etosha United entertaining Bethlehem Boys in eighth position at the Ombika Stadium at 13h00, while in Okaukuejo, third-placed Young Eagles will confront second-placed PUBS at 15h00.
In Opuwo, sixth-placed Kunene Namibian Police (NamPol) Football Club (FC) will battle fourth-placed Gariseb Orlando Pirates at the Opuwo Stadium at 12h00. The battle of the basement dwellers, between twelfth-placed Revengers and eleventh-placed Robber Chanties is scheduled for Kamanjab Combined School at 12h00. This is followed by ninth-placed Green Dangers taking on seventh-placed Black Africa Warriors at 14h00 at the same venue.
Log leaders Outjo Football Academy will battle tenth-placed Sixty Eleven at the Etoshapoort Stadium in Outjo.
Sunday in the Round 18 matches, Kunene NamPol FC will battle Robber Chanties at 10h00 at the Opuwo Stadium, while in Kamanjab at 12h00, Revengers will lock horns with Gariseb Orlando Pirates, followed by Green Dangers and Sixty Eleven at 12h00.
In Okaukuejo, Young Eagles will entertain Bethlehem Boys at 10h00, while in Ombika, Etosha United will go head-to-head with PUBS at 13h00.
Outjo FA and Black Africa Warriors will battle each other at the Etoshapoort Stadium at 14h00.
