WINDHOEK, 19 JUN (NAMPA) – Eastern Epukiro Farmers Association (EEFA) will on Thursday hold a farmers’ day at Otjimanangombe in the Omaheke Region.
Speaking to NAMPA on Tuesday Katjinduu Tjahuha, the chairperson of EEFA, said that the day is important to farmers in Epukiro and its neighbouring constituencies.
“Farmers will benefit from this event as it will educate them on the new farming techniques, animal health and feeding programs for winter season among others,” said Tjahuha.
According to Tjahuha, EEFA will also assist farmers to inject their livestock with Botuthrax and Brucella F19 next year.
“We will provide these injections to our farmers for free,” the chairperson added.
He added that the event, which is held annually, is also aimed at recognising the vital position that farmers occupy in the nation’s socio-economic development.
