Zilles aim for top two finish

REHOBOTH, 13 JUN (NAMPA) - ||Kharas Second Division Inland Stream outfit, Brazilie Football Club has vowed to end in the top two of the league and will stop at nothing to attain their goal.
Zilles, as Brazilie is affectionately known, currently occupies fourth position after 11 rounds of matches, seven points from log leaders Dates Eleven.
In an interview with Nampa on Wednesday, Brazilie chairperson Enrico Blaauw, said the players are focused on reaching their ultimate goal, starting with collecting six points on the road this coming weekend against two Noordoewer teams - Orange Rangers and Spiders.
“After an inconsistent start to the league, we have shifted our focus to ending in the top two. We had a disciplinary meeting with a few of our key players in the first round and after their return we started collecting points and we want to do just that with the upcoming games,” he said.
He said the player to watch out for is midfielder Samora !Owoseb, who has scored six goals so far this season.
“We missed his winning attitude in the first round. He had some personal issues he needed to sort out and we are happy that he is back and has hit the ground running,” Blaauw said.
In other Inland Stream Week 7 matches at the J. Stephanus Stadium in Keetmanshoop on Saturday, Lovely Super Stars will face Thistles at 16h00, followed by King Pele Santos battling log leaders Dates Eleven at 18h00.
Also on Saturday, Spiders will confront Young Beauties at the Noordoewer Stadium at 13h00, followed by Orange Rangers versus Brazilie at 15h00.
On Sunday, at the Noordoewer Stadium, Orange Rangers will battle Young Beauties at 08h00, followed by Spiders locking horns with Brazilie at 10h00.
In matches on Sunday at the J. Stephanus Stadium, Real Fighters will go head-to-head with Lovely Super Stars at 12h00, followed by King Pele Santos meeting Thistles at 14H00.
Log leaders Dates Eleven will travel to Karasburg to face Tornado from Karasburg at the Karasburg Stadium at 12h00.
Dates Eleven top the log with 27 points after 10 games, with Real Fighters in second place on 23 points, having played one game more than the log leaders.
Third place is occupied by Spiders with 20 points and fourth spot by Brazilie with 19 points, while Lovely Super Stars complete the top five with 18 points.
Only ninth-placed Thistles and Dates have played 10 matches, while the played 11 matches.
