Aranos man accused of stabbing cousin denied bail

WINDHOEK, 28 MAY (NAMPA) – The man accused of stabbing his cousin to death at Aranos appeared in the Aranos Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Lionel Ludeke, 34, was arrested Friday after he allegedly stabbed the 23-year-old Frans Ludeke after an argument in the Bosduin residential area.
“It is alleged that the suspect stabbed the deceased on the left side of the neck after an argument,” the Namibian Police Force’s Crime Investigations Coordinator in Hardap, Deputy Commissioner Eric Clay told Nampa.
Frans Ludeke was rushed to the local clinic and was declared dead on arrival.
Lionel Ludeke was denied bail by Assistant Magistrate McLean Urinavi and was remanded in custody.
The matter was postponed to 20 June for the accused to apply for Legal Aid and to allow for further investigations by the police.
