A 33 year old woman was arrested in connection with the murder of a Zimbabwean national over the weekend, the Namibian Police Crime report revealed.
According to police information, the incident took place in Katutura’s Damara location, where a 42 year-old Zimbabwean national was stabbed four times in the chest resulting in his death.
The suspect who is allegedly the deceased’s girlfriend stabbed him after an argument.
The next of kin of the deceased are not yet informed but the representative from the Zimbabwean Embassy were on the scene the police report indicates.
It is further reported that the suspect consumed an unidentified poisonous substance after she stabbed the deceased and she is currently admitted in Katutura State Hospital.
Her condition is currently stable, and police investigations continue.
In a separate incident a 35-year-old female suspect has stab and killed her uncle Tsose Leo (37) the deceased a member of the Namibian Defence Force with a traditional knife also known as the Omukonda on the left side of the chest causing his death according to the police crime report.
The suspect allegedly also stabbed the deceased girlfriend with the same knife on the mouth causing serous injuries.
The report states that it is alleged am arguments erupted between the suspect and the deceased over unknown reason leading to the stabbing. The suspect was arrested and was expected to appear in the Grootfontien magistrates court today.
