Pavaza attends referee course in Egypt

REHOBOTH, 18 APR (NAMPA) - Jackson Pavaza, Namibia’s International Federation of Football Associations (Fifa) accredited referee on Wednesday jetted off to Cairo to attend training as part of preparations for upcoming competitions.
A statement availed to Nampa by the Namibia Football Association (NFA) on Wednesday said the Confederation of African Football (CAF) organised a course in Cairo, Egypt from 19-25 April for its elite male referees.
The five-day event, according to the statement, will be attended by the elite panel of match officials and will be used to gauge the readiness of the participants for impending competitions.
The statement said Pavaza has shown impressive progress over his career and even officiated the match between Mauritania and Guinea at the 2018 CHAN games.
“I look forward to the workshop and am hopeful that the course will provide me with the unique opportunity to put into practice the knowledge gained,” the statement quoted Pavaza as saying.
It further said Pavaza expressed appreciation to CAF and the NFA for the opportunity to improve on his knowledge and gain new ideas.
