Kwaito star Gazza has come out to say that artists need to step down from the internet and spend more time in studio rather than creating ego’s and images of themselves.

This come after an uproar by some musicians who came out guns blazing when Gazza received two nominations in the same category of best music video.

His nomination was later on replaced with Sally’s video titled ‘What You Say’.

Speaking in a statement released today, Gazza said, “In my opinion, artists must spend less time on the internet and more time in studio as music comes from the soul and you will not find it on social media.”

Gazza who also threw some shades last week on one of his social media pages saying that putting Namibia on the map while others are complaining about his nominations, further urges his fellow musicians to take their art seriously.

“Music is not a job that starts at 8am and ends at 5pm, it is a way of life and the only way you will succeed in the industry if you put the time in and finish an album that you as an artist would be proud of,” he noted.

The award-winning artist who seems to have the interest of other musician’s music at heart also advised performers to take time when crafting their art.
