Hardap’s Swapo 58th year anniversary celebrations postponed

REHOBOTH, 16 APR (NAMPA) – The 58th anniversary celebration of the Swapo Party that was scheduled to take place in Mariental on Sunday has been postponed to 28 April.
In a letter availed to Nampa on Monday and dated 15 April, the Hardap Regional Coordinator for Swapo, Elizabeth Karigus said the postponement was necessitated by other important matters.
“This circular serves to inform you that due to equally important matters, the 58th anniversary celebrations of the Swapo Party scheduled to take place in Mariental on Sunday has been postponed to Saturday 28 April,” the letter stated.
Meanwhile, the Hardap Swapo Regional Information and Mobilisation Officer, Michael Situde confirmed the postponement, saying the anniversary will be held at the Mariental Stadium.
“The anniversary celebrations will take place at the Mariental Stadium and will be preceded by a march starting at 07h00 Saturday morning. We will have a Gala dinner Friday evening,” Situde said.
Swapo Party President, Hage Geingob will deliver the keynote address at the event.
