Okamatapati man stabbed to death during a fight

OTJIWARONGO, 15 APR (NAMPA) - A 37-year-old man died instantly at Okamatapati on Sunday morning after he was stabbed twice with a sharp object during a fight.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol) spokesperson in the Otjozondjupa Region, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha told Nampa on Sunday the man was stabbed in the neck and left side of his chest at about 02h00 at the settlement.
His close relatives are yet to be informed.
“The two men whom he was fighting with, were arrested by the police shortly after the incident,” said Mbeha.
The suspects, aged 23 and 26, are expected to appear in the Okamatapati Magistrate’s Court this week on a charge of murder.
Police investigations continue.
