Criminals impersonating as officials from the ministry of mines and energy are circulating information on social media requesting for quotations for the supply and delivery of security CCTV cameras, (Earthcam GPX-850HD) in an attempt to swindle unsuspecting people, the ministry’s permanent secretary, Simeon Negumbo, has warned.
“This request further instructs that the supply and delivery of these cameras be (made) to the ministry of mines and energy geophysical station in Tsumeb. The enquiry requesting this information is a Joe Simon, cell 0818800767 using the email address firstname.lastname@example.org,” said Negumbo.
He said another enquiry person used in previous requests is a certain Owen Nwanko with cell number 081 840 597 with a fax number 0886557824 and email address email@example.com.
When The Villager tried to track down the culprits on their mobile phones, one was not available while another was no longer existing on the MTC mobile network.
