Man's hand severed by train at Usakos

SWAKOPMUND, 04 APR (NAMPA) - A 25-year-old man who fell asleep on the train tracks at Usakos on Wednesday lost his left hand when a passing train drove over it.
The Namibian Police Force’s Detective Inspector Daniel Gurirab in an incident report identified the man as Seun Goseb.
He said Goseb was asleep on the train track at the Festus Train Station around 02h30 when the train drove over his hand and severed it.
“The victim was discovered by the security officer who was guarding the building opposite the train station,” said Gurirab.
He said Goseb is receiving medical attention and is in a stable condition.
