Man, 47, stabbed to death in Onesi

ONGWEDIVA, 28 MAR (NAMPA) – A 43-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing another man to death in the Onesi Constituency on Tuesday.
Sergeant Anna Kunga of the Namibian Police Force’s Public Relations Unit in the Omusati Region told Nampa on Wednesday the man allegedly stabbed Namwandi Jekonia Abraham at Enongo.
The incident occurred around 20h00, but it is not yet known what led to the stabbing.
“It is alleged that the suspect used a knife to stab the victim once on the left side of the neck. The victim was rushed to the Outapi District Hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival,” Kunga said.
The 47-year-old Abraham was a resident of Osholuyu village in the Eheke area of the Oshana Region.
Kunga could not release the identity of the suspect as he will only appear in the Outapi Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
Abraham’s next of kin have been informed of his death and police investigations continue.
