Gochas murder case postponed

REHOBOTH, 26 MAR (NAMPA) – A man accused of allegedly stabbing his cousin to death at Gochas on Saturday made his first appearance in the Aranos Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Willem Kooper, 26, appeared in front of Magistrate Agatha Okamaru on a charge of murder.
It is alleged the 28-year-old Andries Kooper died after allegedly being stabbed by Willem Kooper at their home in the Hei-eib residential area on Saturday.
The accused was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when he got home and started arguing with the victim.
Andries Kooper was stabbed in the right side of his neck and died on the scene.
The matter has been remanded to 23 May for Kooper to apply for legal aid and for the police to conduct further investigations.
Kooper was denied bail and is being held at the Gochas holding cells.
