Three-month-old foetus found in a school sewage pipe

OSHAKATI, 18 MAR (NAMPA) – A foetus of approximately three months old was discovered in a sewage pipe at a Baumgartsbrunn school, located about 35km west of Windhoek on Friday.
A crime report by the Namibian Police Force issued Sunday said the suspect is not yet known and no arrest has yet been made.
The police thus requested anyone with information related to the matter to contact them as their investigations into the matter continue.
In an unrelated matter, 23-year-old Tuhafeni Swarts succumbed to injuries at the Mariental State Hospital on Sunday at 05h40, after he was bumped by an unidentified vehicle at about 00h00 along Hendrik Witbooi Street.
Swarts was found lying unconscious in a pool of blood by a passer-by.
At Usakos, an 18-year-old man was arrested on Sunday morning after he allegedly stabbed and killed 17-year-old Yassino Narib during the early hours of the day.
According to the police, the suspect stabbed Narib with a sharp object on the right side of the neck during an argument at about 02h40 at the Hakaseb sports field.
The police also arrested a 34-year-old man at Gobabis on Sunday after he allegedly stabbed 28-year-old Wazenga Marenga with a knife on the chest and neck, leading to his death.
It is reported that the deceased was seated in the car with a passenger when the incident occurred between 01h00 and 02h00 at a bar in the Nossobville area.
Marenga’s next of kin have been informed.
