Hard work, resilience and a hunger for success has paid off for Namibia’s laid back but ruthless boxer, Walter “The Executioner” Kautondokwa as he has been awarded a boost to his World Boxing Organisation (WBO) rankings from number six to the third position.
His Nestor Sunshine boxing stable said the WBO monthly ratings of February was just released and saw MTC Sunshine boxers rise to the occasion all with improved ratings.
“I am very excited about the new ratings; it shows that we are making very good progress on the international boxing scene. Serious boxing is all about world ratings, if you are not rated you can never fight for a serious world title. Kautondokwa took a massive jump and this is because he always fights top opponents.”
“The current world champion Billy Joe Saunders has avoided him, but soon he will have nowhere to run because Kautondokwa will soon become mandatory with a few more fights. It is therefore important that he wins his next fight and remain unbeaten,” said promoter Tobias.
