Windhoek Police Mortuary seeks help with unclaimed bodies

WINDHOEK, 06 FEB (NAMPA) – The Windhoek Police Mortuary is looking for the relatives of two men whose bodies have not yet been claimed.
A statement issued by the Head of the Namibian Police Force’s (NamPol) Public Relations Division, Deputy Commissioner Edwin Kanguatjivi said family members should come forth and claim the bodies.
The 84-year-old Jolonimus Haivela’s body was found in a shack in Akapeke Street, Babylon.
“He was born at Omatunda Village in Ohangwena Region,” the statement said.
The 44-year-old Kandjeke Paulus allegedly hanged himself behind the Van Eck Power Station in the Northern Industrial Area.
Paulus had on blue overall trousers, a black belt, sneakers and a blue University of Namibia T-shirt.
Kanguatjivi said relatives of the two deceased individuals should contact NamPol or visit the police mortuary to claim them.
