Man commits suicide in hospital room

WINDHOEK, 05 FEB (NAMPA) – A 32-year-old man allegedly committed suicide at the Omuthiya State Hospital on Friday.
A nurse found his body hanging from the burglar bars of his room around 05h30, a crime report issued by the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) on Monday said.
The deceased has been identified as Ikela Tomas.
No suicide note was left behind and his next of kin have been informed.
Meanwhile, an unidentified 43-year-old woman hanged herself at Divava village in the Kavango East Region on Saturday around 06h00.
“The next of kin were informed and police investigations continue,” the crime report said.
The police also reported that a 22-year-old man allegedly stabbed a man aged 19 to death at Omutaku village in the Omusati Region on Sunday.
The incident occurred around 01h00.
According to the police report, the deceased and the suspect had been arguing over a woman.
The suspect was arrested and was set to appear before court in Outapi on Monday.
