NAC board confirms acting CEO appointment

WINDHOEK, 05 FEB (NAMPA) – The Board of Directors of the Namibia Airports Company (NAC) on Monday confirmed the appointment of Albertus Aochamub as the new Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of that company.
Aochamub will serve in that position for a period of 12 months or until such a time that a substantive CEO is appointed.
NAC Board Chairperson, Rodgers Kauta, in a statement availed to Nampa on Monday described Aochumab as a person who demonstrated throughout his career the ability to work successfully in different environments, designing and leading strategies that result in impressive value creation.
“Mr Aochamub is a transformational leader who is a former President of the Southern African Broadcasting Association (SABA) and also former Vice President of the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA),” he added.
Aochamub has a two decade combined track record in senior management in telecommunications, commercial banking, public broadcasting and government sectors.
He has from 2010 to 2015 served as CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Namibia’s public broadcaster, the Namibian Broadcaster Corporation and led the broadcaster to being among the top three in Southern Africa to have successfully deployed Digital Terrestrial Television ahead of the global headline.
