The Council of the University of Namibia (UNAM) has approved a reduction to 20% of the minimum deposit on tuition fees for Namibian students, including those with outstanding balances for 2017, university public relations officer Simon Namesho has said.

Namesho indicated that the remaining 30% is payable before the regular examinations commence during May 2018.

“Returning students with outstanding fees for 2017, are allowed to register by paying the 20% deposit on the 2018 tuition fees. However, these students will have to clear their outstanding balances for 2017 in addition to the remaining 30% of the 2018 tuition fees, before the regular examinations commences during May 2018,” he said.
