The Namibian women’s indoor hockey team currently camped in Germany for the upcoming world cup lost yesterday to world’s number one, Holland, in a friendly match ahead of the major show-down next week.

Reporting from Berlin, national team coach, Erwin Handura said, “We lost the game 7-3 and the Half time score was 1-4 for Holland.”

Namibia scored first in the 2nd minute from a penalty corner taken by Kiana Cormack before which the Namibians gave away two easy short corners which they converted.

At 16 years of age, Cormack enters the world arena as the youngest player on the Namibian side and her exploits so far shows she is hungry for goals.
