The Windhoek Field Archery (WFA) this past weekend successfully kicked off the first shoot competition for this year at their range outside Windhoek.

Namibia has promising archers who stand a great chance of qualifying for national colors to represent Namibia in the upcoming world championships at Potchefstroom, South Africa in October, vice president of Archery Association of Namibia (AAN) Bea Viviers has said.

“The shooters are very competitive and we are looking forward to building a strong team to represent the country. This was just the beginning and things are still slow but the shooters have demonstrated that they mean business when it comes to competition,” she said.
