The Namibian women's indoor hockey team drew 3-3 against German's Blau-Weiss Koln in a friendly match over the weekend in preparation for the world cup due in a few days' time in Berlin, Germany.

Blau-Weiss Koln is an elite team playing in the German Women's Bundes Liga (premier league).

Commenting on the debut match from Berlin, national team coach Erwin Handura said, “The match ended 3-3. It was a hard match. Very physical."

Handura also expressed delight in the Namibian defensive tactics which frustrated the Germans at every turn.

"Both goal keepers did well," he added.
