CASABLANCA, 27 JAN (NAMPA) - Brave Warriors coach Ricardo Mannetti has named his squad to face Morocco in the quarter-final of the African Nations Championship (Chan) at the Mohammed V Stadium Saturday afternoon.
The coach reverted back to his initial starting 11, with the exception of Theophilus Junias and Hendrick Somaeb who were replaced by Itamunua Keimuine and Panduleni Nekundi upfront.
The starting 11 will see Loydt Kazapua in goal and Vitapi Ngaruka, Ferdinand Karongee, Riaan !Hanamub and Charles Hambira in the defence.
The midfield will be made up of captain Ronald Ketjijere, Dynamo Fredericks, Absalom Iimbondi, Petrus Shitembi and Keimuine while Nekundi will be up front.
Mannetti said at a media conference in Casablanca on Saturday they are just a step away from reaching the semi-finals and he will select a squad that he tactically believes will deliver the goods.
'Morocco are a free scoring team with very good players and they have the whole country behind them, we are going into our Saturday game with one plan and that is to cause an upset,' he said.
Mannetti's bench will comprise goalkeepers Edward Maova and Charles Uirab, defenders Tiberius Lombard, Benyamin Nenkavu, Edmund Kambanda
and Emilio Martin, strikers Roger Katjiteo, Somaeb and Theophilus, as well midfielders Kleopas Useb, Oswaldo Xamseb and Himeezembi Hengombe.
If Namibia wins against Morocco they will reach the semi-finals, which will guarantee them a spot to play for silverware in the competition.
