Swapo Party Youth League (Spyl) Secretary Ephraim Nekongo has said the revolutionary party will not use the land question to make “cheap political scores” ahead of elections as progress on land conference remains stuck.

President Hage Geingob had late last year said Spyl was one of the stakeholders that had complained of inadequate consultations prompting the conference’s postponement.

Pressed by The Villager if the conference would be held early before elections to iron out issues, Nekongo said there will not be any rush as the party wanted to deliver on land in a sustainable and well-protracted manner.
